Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Stationary Engineer 'B' - Refrigeration Plant Operator, Stationary Engineer 3rd Class

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Food processing industry

Type of Equipment: Computerized control systems, Low pressure boilers, Compressors, Switches, Ammonia refrigeration, Pneumatic controls

Area of Specialization: Refrigeration

Specific Skills: Operate automated or computerized control systems, Measure temperature, fuel flow and pressure, Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction, Perform routine equipment maintenance

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
