Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of university

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Certification by a provincial or territorial association

Experience: 5 years or more

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Area of Specialization: Machinery and components

Work Setting: Manufacturing company

Specific Skills: Operate computer-assisted design system, Read blueprints, Prepare engineering design, drawings and specifications, Assist in preparing design, drawings and specifications, Conduct quality assurance review, Test machines and equipment, Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction

Additional Skills/Knowledge/Expertise: Estimate costs and materials, Operate computer-assisted design systems (CAD), Technical writing

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Work Location Information: Urban area

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Own transportation, Own vehicle
