Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day

Salary: $9.50 Hourly for 40 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Skill Requirements:

Education: Some high school

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Type of Sewing Experience: Commercial

Type of Garment Sewing Experience: Section work, Semi-section work, Whole garment

Type of Materials: Cotton or synthetic

Type of Goods: Drapery or bed spreads, Upholstery

Type of Equipment: Single needle machine, Multi-needle machine, Serger or overlock, Piping or binding machine

Specific Skills: Operate machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piece-work or production basis, Use sewing guides and tension devices

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Sitting

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning

Other Information:Must have experience on industrial type sewing machines. Sewing mattress covers. Involves some lifting.
